We stayed here overnight while traveling on I-80. Turned out to be a nice spot to stop. The only issue was we arrived late and started to pull into a "pull through" but quickly discovered that it didn't have sewer services which we were told they had. Luckily, the site manager showed up and directed us to the proper site, with us carefully trying to avoid hitting one of the numerous trees en-route. The actual site which was easy to get into and had all the amenities. We were very pleased with the campground, and only give it an 8 because the bath house entrance was on the opposite side of our camp site and while clean, really needs an upgrade. We would stay there again without hesitation.

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit our son and found this to be a very pleasant campground. Close to both Lincoln and Omaha is also a plus. The sites were all well furnished with a patio and very nice "lawn" furniture and fire pits. The staff was most pleasant and helpful. The bath facilities were clean and well maintained. The pull through sites for larger rigs were about the best we've seen so far as it was easy in/easy out. A good place for an overnight stop as well. We will stay here again.

This is really a great campground. Set around a large meadow with hills as a great background. Deer feed in the meadow in the evenings and can easy be seen from most sites. You can hear the coyotes at night, too. All the facilities are top notch, and the sites are fairly large. There are only two bath houses which makes a drive or a walk necessary from some camp sites if you want to use them, but they are very nice and well maintained, as is the laundry. What we didn't read in other comments is there is one of the finest bike paths in the US just at the gate of the campground. This is the George Mickelson Trail from which you can ride 109 miles from start to finish! We opted to ride from one of the trail heads near Hill City, but we will ride more when we return. We highly recommend this campground.

This was an overnight stop on our way east, but I wouldn't recommend this as it is literally right on I-74 with nothing between the campground and the highway to stop the noise. Furthermore, it is also on a railroad line, and there were several trains passing by. Nothing could drown out the noise. The bathrooms were not very clean as there was dust and dirt all around--it appears they are just swept out each day. They also need serious updating and lighting. Not the best place for an overnight stop.

Overall a nice campground. We only stayed overnight but this would make a nice central point to tour this really nice part of Pennsylvania. There are small lakes all around with fishing opportunities. The sites are flat and open without much shade. I agree with the other reviewer in that the sites are a little close for a motorhome. I would also think this would be a very nice place to tent camp as many of the tent sites are right on the lake shore. We will stay here again.

First of all this is no longer a state park--it's officially called Stonewall CG as is run by Benchmark Hospitality. This is a very nice CG--flat sites, trees, and nice views and access to the large lake. There are all kinds of amenities, most of the water kind. There is a large marina with paddle boats, kayaks, bicycles, canoes, etc available for a good price. There is also an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course in the park but I don't have any information on it regarding cost. There is also a lodge, restaurants and very good looking "cabins" on the lake. They also offer 10% off the camping prices for senior citizens. The only downside is don't plan on bringing a "big rig" here. We have a 38' MH and there was very little room to back into our spot or extend the slides and it was one of the better sites to back into. You can do it but I would say it's not a good park for 40' and up.

Overall this is a nice campground but I found some areas lacking. One is the bathrooms. While they are clean and well maintained they are full bathrooms: toilet, sink, shower in one room. There are only 4 of the rooms available in the main camp area. There a bath house down at the camp store/pool area but that is a hike. Wi-Fi didn't work. The smallish sites made parking our 38' MH difficult as many TOADS took up some of the roadway reducing the radius. The park is all trees so careful backing is a must. Very few pull throughs. It is also not as close to Gettysburg as we thought. Finally cable costs extra and it's only the very basic channels. We won't stay there again.
